The Movement Room 

Welcome to The Movement Room, your space for movement, balance, and strength in the heart of Padiham. We offer a range of classes including Reformer Pilates, Mat Pilates, Yoga, Legs, Bums and Tums and Dance, all designed to help you feel stronger, more flexible, and deeply connected to your body. Whether you’re a beginner or seasoned mover, our supportive instructors and uplifting studio atmosphere will guide you toward your personal wellness goals.

Our Story

The Movement Room was born from a shared belief: that movement has the power to transform not just bodies, but lives.

Between us, we bring over 60 years of experience in movement, fitness, and teaching- years spent in studios, on stages, in rehabilitation spaces, and alongside people at every stage of their journey. We’ve seen first hand how the right guidance, the right environment, and the right kind of movement can rebuild confidence, restore strength, and reconnect people to themselves.

But along the way, we also felt something was missing.

Too often, movement spaces felt intimidating, impersonal, or focused only on appearance rather than how you feel. We wanted to create something different- a space where people could walk in exactly as they are and feel supported, encouraged, and inspired.

So, The Movement Room came to life in the heart of Padiham. A studio built on experience, but driven by passion. A place where Reformer Pilates, Mat Pilates, Yoga, and Dance come together not just as classes, but as tools for real, lasting wellbeing.

Every class we teach carries the depth of our combined experience, but also our shared intention: to help you move better, feel stronger, and build a genuine connection with your body.

This isn’t just a studio.
It’s a space created with purpose, by people who truly believe in what movement can do- for everyone.
